Zikrii Afaan Oromoo is to perform ablution
The Creator never puts a burden on the weak beyond their strength, but strength comes from the weak. In Muhammad’s teachings, there is strength for the weak. O Lord, grant us the strength to carry our burdens and the patience to endure hardships. O Lord, do not let us fall into despair. Help us in our weakness. Strengthen our faith and guide us on the right path. Through repentance and the language of Oromo, let Islam be spread throughout the land.
Afaan Oromoo Zikrii is to perform prayers (Dua)
The word of the Lord. With the Lord’s decree. No one can oppose the command and decree of God. O Lord, if I am to be honored, let me be honored in righteousness; if I am to be disgraced, let me be disgraced in justice; if I am to be exalted, let me be exalted in humility; and if I am to be humbled, let me be humbled with dignity before my fellow beings. The word of the Lord is above all words. From the Lord comes all guidance. This is the essence of peace.
Zikrii Afaan Oromoo is to face towards the mosque
Yaa Rabbi qalbii O Lord, establish faith in my heart. Let it be in my speech, in my actions, in my steps, in my thoughts, in my intentions, in my desires, in my sight, in my hearing, in my conscience, and in my love. Let faith encompass me. Let faith guide me. Let faith be with me. Without faith, there is nothing. O Lord, strengthen my faith.
Let faith be in my hands. Let faith be in my understanding. Let faith be in my blood. Let faith be in my breath. Let faith be in my standing. O Lord, at my grave, let faith be with me, and in my soul, let faith be. Let faith envelop me; let faith envelop me; let faith envelop me. Let faith guide me in every aspect of my life.
Zikrii Afaan Oromoo is to perform the call to prayer (Azaan)
The call to prayer from the muezzin says: ‘Come to success, come to success; there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah.’ But it also means that no one can oppose the command and decree of God. As it is said: just as the Creator never puts a burden on the weak beyond their strength, and in Muhammad’s teachings and words there is strength for the weak. Allah is the strength of all, and Muhammad is the messenger of Islam and the bringer of peace.
When the muezzin declares the testimony, it signifies the completion of the declaration. Then, in response to this call, one should send blessings upon the Prophet. O Lord, through the merit of this invocation, accept our prayers and intercede through Muhammad. Fulfill our wishes according to your wisdom. Grant us what we ask, as long as it’s not detrimental. The call to prayer and the call to establish prayer end with supplication. Let our supplication not be rejected.
Zikrii Afaan Oromoo is to perform the five daily prayers
“O Lord! Just as the sun rises from the east and sets in the west, let the burdens and sins of the believers be removed from the east to the west (away from them). O Lord! As the weight of sins is lifted from the shoulders, let the burdens and sins of the believers be removed from their backs. O Lord! Let their sins be lightened, and their burdens be lifted. O Lord, grant us strength and resilience; remove any obstacles in our path, and may no burden be too heavy for us to bear.
We seek refuge in the Lord from the evil within ourselves (x3). We seek refuge in the Lord; we seek refuge (x3). We seek refuge from every form of distress and hardship in His refuge.” This is the supplication.
Then, “O my Lord, remove from us any discord. Remove the enmity among us and between us and others. O Lord, if discord arises among us, unite us, and if enmity arises among us, reconcile us.
If hatred arises among us, bring us love, and if separation arises among us, bring us together. If disputes arise among us, bring us reconciliation. If misunderstandings arise among us, bring us understanding. If oppression arises among us, bring us justice. If falsehood arises among us, bring us truth. If prophets arise among us, bring us Muhammad. If resurrection arises among us, bring us the Day of Judgment. O Lord, unite us in obedience. Strengthen our hearts in sincerity. Grant us safety and security. Spread peace among us. Establish justice in our land. Let me repent, let me turn to You, let me submit and surrender myself to You. Remove any reluctance from me; remove any hesitation from me. Remove any doubts from me. Remove any hesitations from me.”
This is the supplication.
Zikrii Afaan Oromoo is to perform the bowing (Rukuu).
Grant us, O Lord, guidance and protection. O Lord, strengthen us in our faith. O Lord, grant us peace. Let us seek refuge in the Lord from any partnership, from doubts, from Satan and his allies. O Lord, lower us in humility, grant us tranquility. Grant us refuge. Protect us from doubts, uncertainties, fears, and any temptation that may lead us astray. Let the Lord guide us away from any association, from doubts, from Satan, and his followers.
